Poor experience - 2004 Lexus RX 330
By mjw5935 - April 10 - 9:53 amI bought a fully optioned 2004 RX330 and was sadly disappointed. The sports transmission has terrible hesitation that boarders on dangerous in traffic driving and the seat has a clicking noise that I cannot seem to resolve. In addition after the first 6,000 miles (during the first tire rotation) I was informed that the front end was not in alignment. Unfortunately the dealer was unable to help me with the transmission and I have not returned for the other factors yet. Very disappointed for a 50k+ vehicle.

Great Improvement/High Price - 2004 Lexus RX 330
By lexusxthree - March 3 - 10:00 amWe previouly owned a 2000 & 2001 RX300. The overall handling and ride is a leap forward. Comfort has also improved to where it is comparable to Mercedes Benz. Because we purchased the vehicle within a month of it release, we were not able to get it optioned exactly the way we wanted. Our only regret is that it doesnt have the Mark Levinson system. The standard system does not sound as good as the one in our previous RX300. The Navigation system is great and the Back-up camera is to die for. This should be a required safety feature on all SUVs and Minivans. Overall we are very pleased with the new RX330.

A 40K+ Car Shouldnt Rattle - 2004 Lexus RX 330
By Stan - February 11 - 9:23 amI started out loving this car. Excellent highway passing capability, spectacular emergency handling (saved my life on one occasion) and superior comfort. BUT little things mean a lot. After about 8000 miles a rattle developed under the dash. Soon it sounded as if the entire dash was shifting after a moderate bump. Still not resolved to my satisfaction. Ive since learned that this is a problem endemic to early production units. Lexus should do better.

2nd time around - 2004 Lexus RX 330
By Pete in Rome - January 23 - 8:53 amThis is my second RX. First was the 300 and I have loved both. Top quality of build, no problems at all, and just the best overall quality around. I love the treatment at the dealer, and love that I just never have to go back! I am tempted to buy my third one in a row. That is the best compliment I can think of.

Lighting Problem of Lexus RX330 - 2004 Lexus RX 330
By Perkins - December 28 - 10:00 amDue to exterior lighting problems, I cannot drive my new Lexus at night. The dealer seems unable or unwilling to fix the problem. I am told that I am not the only one with this problem. As of this date, I will sale my Lexus and purchase something without this problem.

Poor door design - 2004 Lexus RX 330
By TSPHOGG - November 1 - 10:00 amI bought a brand new Lexus RX330 5 days ago. Although I love the cars overall design, features and handling, Lexus really didnt think through the door design. The roof line over the door is set back over the seat. There is no channel on the roof to force the water to drain properly. Water drips off the roof on to the seat and floor when the door or window is opened. Water is also trapped between the door and frame of the car (even from road spray). I have contacted Lexus directly about this problem and await their answer.

Lexus is Quality - 2004 Lexus RX 330
By Grover6 - July 21 - 2:00 amPurchased this SUV mainly for travel comfort and storage capacity. Definitely very comfortable for traveling. For the first time a 12-hour drive was enjoyable. Both drivers and front passenger seats can be positioned so anyone can find the right adjustment for comfort. The rear seating can be folded down easily for extra space. Only wish we had included the navigation and heated front seat options.

So far so good - 2004 Lexus RX 330
By PerrinD1 - March 8 - 2:00 amHave only had the vehichle a few months , but it gets around like a champ on the ice and snow. Gas mileage leaves something to be desired from a relatively small 6 cylinder. Power is adequate. Tranny is smooooth. Brakes are good. Lets give it 20000-30000 more miles and see how it does.
